In a recently published post, Kelly highlighted some of the ways writers can use AI tools. She talked about how these tools can assist with tasks, such as content generation and data analysis, but she also advised to be cautious because they can be biased and inaccurate.
The two of us discussed how AI tools cannot replace human judgment or creativity but reflected on how they could potentially help professionals facilitate brainstorming and overcome writer’s block.
In another post, I talked about the ways we can find the time and motivation to write. To continue that conversation, I thought I’d explore whether AI could be another useful way to spark inspiration.
I decided to test ChatGPT’s assistance in finding topic suggestions for a health blog post. I initially prompted it to search for health blog topics and I received 20 topic suggestions. One of them caught my eye – Deskercise: Simple Exercises You Can Do at Your Desk for Better Posture and Energy.

I wanted to explore the topic further, so I prompted ChatGPT to provide angles on Exercises to Do at Your Desk. The tool generated 5 additional ideas for simple desk exercises, so I decided to focus on Desk Stretches and build a brief article on this topic.

Delving into this topic could be perfect for my potential blog readers, busy health writers who want to balance productivity with their well-being. They may be interested to learn easy desk exercises that can alleviate the tension caused by prolonged sitting, especially when facing tight deadlines.
I didn’t ask ChatGPT to write an entire blog post for me, but I used its support to brainstorm ideas and refine my search, which reignited motivation and even freed up time some to write!
